Spending cuts

1 min read Participation
According to our Chancellor, the spending cuts are necessary to reduce the UK's financial deficit. But how exactly does this affect young people? Well, quite a lot actually.

I don't agree with the child benefit cuts. This will mean some parents are going to find it difficult to bring up their children. By scrapping the education maintenance allowance as well, the prospect of life as a student is looking bleaker by the day. Getting to and from college, having lunch and buying books isn't cheap. Universities will soon be able to charge unlimited tuition fees, making higher education almost unachievable. Why should we even bother?

If I were in charge, I would ensure there was continued investment in young people. We are the future, after all.

With public sector jobs being slashed and companies going out of business, finding employment seems like an impossible task.
