SOHAM MURDERS: Investigation into errors over Huntley

1 min read
A review is to be launched into the social services department accused of failings over its dealings with Soham murderer Ian Huntley.

But North East Lincolnshire Council claims it has already improved its procedures since the allegations were first made against Huntley in the late 1990s.

Huntley lived in Grimsby before moving to Soham in Cambridgeshire to take up the post of caretaker.

Allegations of underage sexual relations were made against Huntley in August 1995, April 1996 and twice in May 1996. In July 1998, he was accused of indecently assaulting a young girl.
