SOCIAL EXCLUSION: Prince's Trust starts Route 14-25 pilots

1 min read

Outreach workers will be placed in Luton, Southend and Hertfordshire after the charity identified each area as having pockets of severe deprivation that have gained limited benefits from local initiatives.

Under the pilots, which officially launch in June, the trust will partner with Hertfordshire Connexions to mentor local young people in and leaving care. It will also set up a similar relationship with social services at Southend-on-Sea Borough Council. Outreach workers will support young people in Luton who cannot access facilities using local transport.

Mark Heasman, director of The Prince's Trust for the region, said: "This initiative offers a fantastic opportunity for young people in the east of England."
