51% of looked-after children achieved at least one GCSE at grade A* to G at 30 September 2006 (63 per cent in England)

91% of looked-after children had their teeth checked by a dentist at 30 September 2006 (85 per cent in England)

78% of looked-after children had an annual health assessment at 30 September 2006 (83 per cent in England)

In 2006, Ofsted said: "The council supports a range of services keeping the number of looked-after children relatively low."
