Social Care News: Youth Green Paper - No 'patronising' teenagers' version

Young people may not get a separate version of the youth green paper as those drafting it think it would be "patronising" to reword it for them.

Jane Hayward, the divisional manager at the Department for Education and Skills' children and youth division, told 4Children's Make Space for Young People conference last week that a single version of the paper was being devised for young people and adults.

She said that producing a different version would be "patronising" and would suggest that young people "were not up to it".
