Social Care News: Social care stats - Redcar and Cleveland

10.7% of looked-after children with three or more placements in 2004/05 (13 per cent in England)

- 100% of child protection cases reviewed on time (99 per cent inEngland)

- 96.2% of children and young people communicated their views at theirlatest statutory review (81 per cent in England)

- 61.1% of core assessments completed within 35 working days of starting(67 per cent in England)

In December 2005, the Commission for Social Care Inspection said Redcarand Cleveland Borough Council was serving most children well and ratedits capacity to improve children's services as promising.

Inspectors said the council was working very constructively with itspartners to ensure children continue to be well protected.
