10% of looked-after children with three or more placements in 2005/06 (12 per cent in England)

- 64% of looked-after children achieved at least one GCSE at grade A* toG at 30 September 2006 (63 per cent in England)

- 79% of looked-after children had their teeth checked by a dentist at30 September 2006 (85 per cent in England)

- 86% had an annual health assessment at 30 September 2006 (83 per centin England)

In November 2006 the Commission for Social Care Inspection and Ofstedsaid: "The authority does well to deliver a broad range of services forthe large and increasing population of looked-after children, with overhalf being unaccompanied asylum seeker children."
