Social Care News: Social care stats - Buckinghamshire

10% of looked-after children with three or more placements in 2005/06 (12 per cent in England)

- 70% of looked-after children achieved at least one GCSE at grade A* toG in 2005/06 (53 per cent in England)

- 86% of looked-after children had their teeth checked by a dentist at30 September 2006 (82 per cent in England)

- 72% of looked-after children had an annual health assessment at 30September 2006 (80 per cent in England)

In December 2006 the Commission for Social Care Inspection and Ofstedsaid: "Nearly all looked-after children have a qualified social workerand their placement stability is good."
