Social Care News: Private fostering - Oxfordshire poster campaignlaunches

Oxfordshire County Council has launched a poster campaign to raise awareness of private fostering.

The posters are being displayed in pulic places across the county. "Wehope to increase notifications and give people an idea of what privatefostering is," said David McAulay, service manager for family support inthe children, young people and families' directorate at the council.

New private fostering regulations, which came into force in England on 1July 2005, require every local authority to promote awareness about theneed to notify them of arrangements.
