Voice for the Child in Care has teamed up with organisations such as the National Children's Bureau and the Who Cares? Trust. They will work together in relevant policy areas, initiate work with care providers and build a network to share and publicise examples of child-centred practice.
Two people are expected to be appointed to steer the alliance, which will also include a representative group of young people with experience of care.
John Kemmis, the director of Voice for the Child in Care, said children's needs and interests should be put before those of care agencies.
