Social Care News: Children in care - Virtual insights at CareMatters event

A Children Now conference is due to hear how one local authority has set up a virtual head teacher system for looked-after children today (21 March).

Sue Dean, corporate parenting consultant at Nottinghamshire CountyCouncil, will explain how the virtual head teacher concept put forwardin Care Matters works at the Looked-After Children Green Paperconference in Birmingham. She will talk through how the virtual headmonitors progress, supports and intervenes, and manages projects.

Also due to speak is Claire Tyler, director of the vulnerable children'sgroup in the Department for Education and Skills.
