Social Care: Exploitation - Systems do not stop traffickers

Child traffickers are exploiting systems aimed at protecting and safeguarding children, a report has revealed.

The study, A Scoping Project on Child Trafficking, found traffickers"smoothly evade authorities and keep control of these children".

The report, carried out by the Child Exploitation and Online ProtectionCentre on behalf of the Home Office and the Border & Immigration Agency,is the first stage of an in-depth study.

Chinese children, African girls and Afghan boys have all been traffickedinto the UK.
