Smoking laws

1 min read Participation
If I were in charge of smoking laws, I would start by banning cigarette vending machines. I'd get rid of them from pubs and wherever else they are.

I think that anyone under 18 is too young to smoke. But young teenagers and children can often easily buy cigarettes from these machines.

I made an undercover film with the British Heart Foundation when I was 14 to show how easy it is to buy cigarettes.

We used a hidden camera to record ourselves buying cigarettes from machines in three different pubs just yards away from the House of Parliament.

I don't smoke so I didn't know what to expect. I didn't think it would be so easy. We should be trying to get rid of vending machines because they're too easy for children to use.
