SEXUAL HEALTH: Youth projects win grants from Impact

1 min read

In its sixth annual International Impact Awards, GSK has given grants of 25,000 to 10 community healthcare organisations, of which 18 and Under, Stonewall Youth Project and Wirral Brook Advisory Centre have a youth focus.

18 and Under is a Dundee project that provides support to young people who have experienced sexual abuse. Its advice and support is confidential, and it has helped more than 10,000 young people in the past year.

Stonewall Youth Project, in Edinburgh, tackles community health issues facing young lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in the Southeast of Scotland.

Wirral Brook Advisory Centre, in Birkenhead, aims to protect, promote and preserve the sexual and reproductive health of young people in the Merseyside area.
