Scotland: Staff have no faith in Careers Scotland

The survey of Careers Scotland staff found that 88 per cent of employees have no confidence in the ability of senior management.

Unison's survey also showed 95 per cent of staff are unhappy with the recently introduced performance-related pay system.

The union now plans another staff survey on pay, which will be used to determine whether to ballot for strike action.

Staff also expressed concern that not enough was being done to embrace the Scottish Executive's inclusion strategy on work with young people not in education, training or employment.

Scottish Enterprise, which runs Careers Scotland, said such young people were a key priority.
