Youth projects in Scotland are to receive a 3m boost from the proceeds of crime.
The latest strand of the Scottish Government's CashBack for Communities scheme will provide funding for projects that support young people who are involved with violence, alcohol, drugs or antisocial behaviour.
Initiatives such as youth drop-in services and residential, environmental and outdoor activities will also receive a share.
Jim Sweeney, chief executive of YouthLink Scotland, which will administer the grant scheme, said: "We recently called on the government to increase the funding that is going into youth work projects around the country, and I am delighted to see this being addressed."
