ISA chairman Roger Singleton told CYP Now laws already exist covering the barring of people who commit serious offences such as rape or indecent assault, but rules on lesser offences are less clear. But, he added, the ISA's board will now be drawing up rules on less serious offences and situations.
These, he said, could include drug offences. "That's an area the board members are going to have to consider carefully," said Singleton.
The ISA hopes to publish its barring criteria in the autumn.
