Robin Nicholson, chair, Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF)

Architect Robin Nicholson is to chair an expert group set up by the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) to examine how to eliminate carbon emissions by English schools within the next eight years, as promised in The Children's Plan. The expert group will also include: Sally Brooks, deputy director of the DCSF's schools capital and building division; Vic Ebdon, head of strategic planning in Devon County Council's children and young people's services directorate; Stephen Lucey, executive director for strategic technologies at Becta (the British Educational Communications and Technology Agency); Mukund Patel, chief officer at GEMS Education; and Justin Slater, policy and programme director at Partnerships for Schools.
