Review of the Children, Young People and Families Grant Programme

Early Years
The Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) is seeking views on the future approach of its Children, Young People and Families (CYPF) grant programme. Introduced in April 2009, the programme provides funding to the third sector for any activities that support the delivery of the government's Every Child Matters agenda and the Children's Plan.

The consultation gives third sector organisations the opportunity to influence the scope and purpose of the CYPF grant, the criteria for grants, and how best practice is shared. It will review how the programme meets the needs of the third sector and how it could be better used to meet the Children's Plan priorities.

The result will ensure that during the recession, the DCSF's funding decisions achieve maximum benefits for all involved. Results will be published in January 2010.

Closing date: 5 October
