Department for Education's National Prospectus Grant Programme

Through its National Prospectus Grant Programme, the Department for Education wants to help improve both outcomes for children and young people, and support for their families, particularly those who are disadvantaged.

Alongside an emphasis on early intervention, the programme also aims to enable mothers and fathers to play their part in improving outcomes for their children. The fund is available to voluntary and community sector organisations, social enterprises and other organisations applying on a not-for-profit basis.

Successful organisations are expected to drive changes and give children and young people every opportunity to excel. They should also be able to use evidence to offer support that is "targeted, effective, efficient and gives value for money".

How much is available? The programme will provide up to £25m in grant funding for organisations for 2015/16. There is no specific minimum or maximum amount of grant award, but the grants are likely to be between £100,000 and £750,000.
