The youth-led Respect? campaign was launched by eight 16- to 24-year-olds and supported by charities YouthNet and the British Youth Council (BYC). It was referenced in the previous government's Aiming High for Young People strategy, and attracted support from Chancellor George Osborne and a number of celebrities.
"Demonisation of young people is still an important issue and it will get worse without Respect?" said member Jessica Robinson, 17.
YouthNet and BYC said in a joint statement that they were proud of the members' achievements: "They have worked hard to help change the way young people are represented."
The campaign won a CYP Now Positive Images award in 2009.
