Resources: Talking point - Should parents leave children home alone?

1 min read

Kelly Ann Piggford, also known as Rogerson, claimed she had "done nothing wrong" when she took a fortnight's holiday in a Turkish resort and left her young children at home. That did not stop newspapers depicting her as the latest mother to leave young children home alone while holidaying.

At the age of 23 should someone be able to have occasional fun with friends? Or does the responsibility of parenthood mean stopping activities that other young people take for granted?
