Should the legal age for viewing pornography be lowered to 16? The Liberal Democrats' culture spokesman, Don Foster, says yes. They should also be able to visit sex shops and act in porn films. All proposals were overwhelmingly supported at the Lib Dems' spring conference.

Foster argued that it was important to get rid of the "twilight zone" for young people between childhood and adulthood. He pointed out that people can have sex, lawfully marry and have a baby at 16. But they cannot watch sex. Is this a problem that needs fixing?
