As a training video it is excellent, managing to give young carers a voice and put their opinion at the centre of the suggestions it makes.
The questions posed for professionals to consider when working with young carers are very sensible and structured, and offer a fantastic foundation that workers could use to inform their practice and build upon.
If there were a criticism of the video, it would be that it is so rich in information that it is difficult to take it all in, and preferably it needs to be seen more than once to really hear what the young carers are saying and take note of all the practice guidelines. However, this means it could provide a valuable resource to be referred to regularly.
