1. Pointless form filling is a pain. The remedy isn't to grumble about it, but to change it. Either the record keeping really is pointless, in which case you need to switch to collecting useful information. Or it does have a point, it is just that no-one has let you know what that point is. Either way, the answer lies in better communication with management.

Ask how the records you keep are being used. Insist on seeing the reports that are produced based on it. Ask for regular updates and pass information back down to young people. After all, it is about them.
