Goals: To give young people a chance to try different volunteering opportunities
Funding: 30,000 from v to fund taster opportunities over 12 months
Ballroom dancing has been enjoying a renaissance on TV and in Warwickshire among young people.
The scheme has been led by the Millennium Volunteers programme and managed by North Warwickshire Council for Voluntary Service. It is the latest of many taster sessions the council has set up to help introduce young people to volunteering. The project involved 22 young people from two schools in Warwickshire and Nuneaton who have been learning to quickstep over the past school year.
