The National Children's Bureau has produced this good practice guide on supporting children infected or affected by HIV. There are more than 1,000 HIV positive under-19s in the UK, and they are at risk of being marginalised. They also face isolation, prejudice and bullying.
This guide covers schools' responsibilities and advice on first aid, confidentiality, discrimination law and creating a supportive environment.
