Resources: Just Out - A round-up of new resources

www.rspca.org.uk/education With this new web site the RSPCA aims to link animal welfare into primary and secondary science and citizenship lessons. Its content, written by teachers for teachers, includes lesson plans for teachers and activity ideas covering topics such as animals and the law. Teachers can order packs of 10 colour A4 photos through the site, and areas of study can be searched by subject and key stage.

Fostering a child: A guide for people interested in fostering

This guide, a companion to BAAF Adoption & Fostering's established Adopting a Child publication, aims to answer all the initial questions that potential foster carers are likely to have. It uses case studies to highlight the real-life situations foster carers deal with, and includes a list of regional fostering agencies around the UK. It also addresses children's feelings about being in foster care, and practical aspects such as money, training, careers and dealing with problems.
