Resources: Just out - A round-up of new resources

All About Fostering This guide to fostering and becoming a foster carer has been published by the Fostering Network to coincide with Foster Care Fortnight, which runs until 23 May. The guide outlines what fostering is, what foster carers do and what skills they need, in a bid to raise fostering's profile and to encourage more people to think about becoming involved. First-hand accounts from both carers and young people on the receiving end of foster care complete the picture.

Bridget's Taking a Long Time

This interactive CD-Rom is aimed at children aged five to 12 and deals with adoption from the perspective of a birth child in a family that is adopting another child.

An animated short story details Emily's changing emotions as she becomes a big sister to Sally, and worksheets and a video of young people speaking about their experience of being part of adopting families are also included.
