This 20-minute film focuses on the achievements of Gateshead Council todemonstrate the benefits of using the arts to achieve the Every ChildMatters outcomes.
In the film, children, young people and their parents explain how
involvement in the arts has helped their development. One example is ateenage graffiti artist who, through a community arts association,transformed his school's dance studio. The film is available from theArts Council England web site.
Every Unit Counts
Launched as part of the Know Your Limits campaign, this pack is designedfor local organisations promoting sensible drinking including primarycare trusts and youth services. The pack contains leaflets, posters andcredit card-sized unit counters for distribution. Leaflets containinformation on binge-drinking and facts aimed at dispelling myths aroundalcohol and raising awareness of the consequences of drinking toexcess.
