Life at Two

This set of two films looks at the attachments and developments thattoddlers form through the experiences of two-year-old Ava.

In the first, filmmakers follow her experiences as she starts at anursery that uses the"key person method", where one worker becomes thechild's secondary attachment figure. The second film is a series ofobservations demonstrating child development. It also looks at goodpractice at home and at the nursery. User notes are part of the set.

This book is aimed at those wanting to become childcarers and is a studyaid for those completing national vocational qualifications and Scottishvocational qualifications. It explains what a childcarer is and eachsection looks at a different qualification unit, including promotingchildren's development, working with families and managing a childcaresetting. There are also portfolio activities included.
