Youth Justice and Schools

This is a useful introductory guide to the youth justice system and howit can successfully link in with schools, aimed at people working withchildren. Written by two former teachers involved with the Youth JusticeBoard, it shows how different professionals in children's services canwork together to cut the risk of young people getting involved incrime.

The booklet contains good practice and information on initiatives suchas Safer Schools Partnerships and restorative justice in schools.

This colourful illustrated book, by Midori Ochiai, is populated byfrogs, toads and tadpoles, and is aimed at children with autism andrelated spectrum disorders. It explores the difficulties faced by "frogswith a different croak", as Teacher Toad takes readers through lessonsthat pick up on social and physical difficulties and gives practicaladvice. It also contains explanatory notes for parents and carers.
