With summer fast approaching, fashion-conscious teens will be on the hunt for the latest sunglasses.

Wayfarer sunglasses give any outfit that extra edge and, unlike the previous bug-eyed trend, these suit most face shapes. The sunglasses are designed by Ray-Ban, but cheaper versions are now available at most markets and in high street shops. They come in a range of colours, from the black originals to a mix of neon green and pink, with celebrities such as Tom Cruise, Beyonce and Nicole Richie being pictured wearing them.

Teenagers are raving about E4's The Inbetweeners. The main character, Will, is a new student failing to fit in with the popular kids at a rowdy comprehensive. He befriends three boys but discovers they are neither cool nor credible. Now in its second series, the programme is witty, intelligent and a light-hearted take on the problems facing many young people daily, such as embarrassment, rejection and the desperation to be sexy and sophisticated.
