Resources: Funding focus - Children in Need

1 min read

What does it fund? Work with disadvantaged children and young people under 18 in the UK. "Disadvantage" may include illness, abuse or neglect, disability, behavioural or psychological difficulties or poverty and deprivation. Work should be entirely focused on young people and, where possible, should take account of their views and involve them in decision-making. It does not give money for trips abroad, medical treatment, loan repayments, retrospective funding, general appeals, religious activities or the relief of statutory duties.

Who can apply? Not-for-profit organisations that have a proper constitution, including a written child-protection policy. Projects must start within 12 months of the award.
