What is it? Inspiring Youth Enterprise was set up by the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) to fund organisations that help support young people to become successful in business. It invests in new and existing programmes led by not-for-profit organisations, supporting young people aged 13 to 30. The fund is for organisations that either help young people set up in business, deliver enterprise education, run “innovative” networking events or help develop entrepreneurial knowledge and skills.
How much is on offer? The fund is open to applications twice a year. The annual funding total available is £500,000. Organisations can apply for any amount up to £50,000. The total cost of the project can be higher than the grant that is requested, but applicants must be able to show they have other financial support in place to cover the remaining costs.
