Racism: Football action to promote inclusion

The focus will make it easier for groups working with young people to apply for awards.

Kick it Out is offering 30 Community Chest grants of up to 2,000 each to encourage groups to run activities during the week of action, which runs from 18 to 30 October.

A spokesman for Kick it Out said: "This year will have a really big push on trying to get youth groups involved."

As well as combating racism, the campaign is keen to support projects promoting inclusion in football. The week of action has been running since 2001, and involves the 92 professional football clubs in England, along with community organisations.
