
We also discussed the issue of bullying outside of school and what the community is doing to help. At Heaton Manor we're working with the council's anti-bullying team to set up focus groups discussing how students and staff can work together to eliminate bullying.
Sir Al also talked with us about the Mosquito, which is a small device that sends out a high-pitched noise for youngsters who hang round shops to disperse them. We also spoke about how we felt about the police.
In some cases students felt threatened by the police and thought that they were discriminating against certain groups like young people.
