Some young people only come to the attention of youth work professionals after they have come into contact with the courts. Many people would argue that, by this time, it is too late to help a young person turn his or her life around.
The 'U' Turn project works across Northamptonshire with young people aged 10 to 18, who have been identified as at risk of receiving antisocial behaviour orders.
Bill Bodsworth, the project's co-ordinator, explains: "We get out there and broker services for them. In just one part of Northamptonshire, there are more than 40 different agencies that we have plugged into."
