Goals: To use sport as a medium to develop young people's personal skills and enable them to become educators, coaches and community volunteers

Funding: Insurance group Royal & SunAlliance provided about 500 to cover costs

Five young men from Ystrad Mynach Boys and Girls Club, in Caerphilly, South Wales, have all completed level one of the Junior Sports Leader Course run by the British Red Cross.

All the young men play football for the club's under-15 team. During half term, they participated in a sports leadership course called Datblygu Hyder, or Developing Confidence, that culminated in them delivering coaching sessions to groups of seven- to 12-year-olds.
