1 min read
Young People Now is calling for youth workers, young people, local councils and members of the media to enter its Positive Images Awards.

The awards are part of Young People Now's ongoing campaign to improve media coverage of young people in the UK.

There are nine award categories: best news report/feature in local press; best news report/feature in national press; best radio coverage of young people; best television coverage of young people; best online coverage of young people; best publicity campaign by a youth group; best involvement by a young person in promoting positive media coverage; best magazine or web site produced by young people for young people; and most youth-friendly local authority.

The media categories can be entered directly by media organisations or by young people or youth groups who can nominate coverage they have received for an award. The deadline for entries is 9 January 2005.

For more information on the awards and details about how to enter, visit www.ypnmagazine. com/campaign or contact Young People Now on 020 8267 4793 or at ypn.editorial@haynet.com.
