At Exeter Youth Offending Team we believe that the Youth Justice Board is missing a great opportunity by not developing links with the citizenship agenda.
There should be a web site so that schools can find information for their pupils on issues such as what a criminal offence is, what an antisocial behaviour order is, the difference between naughty behaviour at home, in the playground and on the streets, and so on.
Why doesn't the Youth Justice Board web site have all this stuff available to download? Most of its information seems to be aimed at adults. We would like to develop our own web site, to help our local partners in schools provide materials about the system, and see how it works. But we can't do it as we don't have the money.
