When young people leave care they don't often have anyone on the end of a phone when they are feeling low or need practical and emotional support. This is much more than isolation: it's fear, loneliness and a sense of loss.
There's No Place Like Home is a new campaign launched by A National Voice.
The campaign aims to improve housing and support for care-leavers in England.
A National Voice is the only national organisation run by and for children and young people who have been in care. To coincide with the campaign, we did a survey of almost 300 care-leavers across England. Most of the respondents were between 16 and 19 years old, although 14 per cent were between 20 and 24.
