The workshop is delivered by Bob Goldsmith. He was born and brought up in east London and has 22 years' experience in youth work. He tells young people the facts - 65 per cent of people who carry knives have their weapons used against them. Where is it safe to stab someone? Nowhere. What's likely to happen if they are found carrying a knife in school? Permanent exclusion, plus a criminal record.
He also tells the story of his best friend's brother, who was stabbed to death by an attacker who wanted his 20 watch. He finishes by showing the group photos of stabbing victims. They gasp as they look at the images, which include a boy with a knife handle still embedded in his neck.
