Peer mentoring on Cafcass website

Social Care
Young people using the Children and Family Court Advisory Service (Cafcass) will now be able to get advice from peer mentors online.

Cafcass' new website contains a section that allows young people to put questions to the organisation's young people's board. The answers are emailed back or added to the frequently asked questions section.

The website also contains a section called HearNow that allows children and young people to tell Cafcass about their experiences of its service.

Cafcass redesigned its website after members of the young people's board said it was out of date and came up with ideas to make it more user-friendly.

A spokesman for Cafcass said: "The young people's board were quite keen to refresh it. They wanted animation and for it to be more colourful."
