Sixteen-year-old David has had a turbulent few years. He hasn't always found school easy and now he's in his final year facing some tough decisions about what to do next. David has Asperger syndrome and it's been difficult for him to build the confidence he needs to make his own way. He goes to a mainstream school and hasn't always been able to stand up for himself with his peers.
Given the lack of support from staff at his school, David's parents decided to seek help from a specialist organisation. "We felt David needed more help with school," explains his mother, Helen. "He's very sensitive and has got very low and depressed in the past."
