Ormond Street to run Haringey care

Health
Great Ormond Street Hospital has taken control of community health services for children, young people and families in Haringey.

As of 1 April, all staff from Haringey Teaching Primary Care Trust's children's services are managed by the hospital, although they will remain at their current locations. They will continue to work with Haringey Council, North Middlesex University Hospital and other partners.

The move aims to provide more integrated services by reducing multiple appointments and unnecessary travel.

Jane Elias, acting director of operations at the Haringey trust, said the move would improve outcomes for children and young people in the borough.
