Opinion: If I were in charge of ... England - Nazia Abdul Carim,13, East Ham

I'd change some of the laws. I would change the immigration laws 'cos I know some people have really suffered because they can't come to England. It has split my family apart.

Some of them came, but some of them weren't allowed. If they come theyare illegal immigrants and classified as criminals, but we're notcriminals.

Another thing. I would put more programmes on for schools in Newham. We're a professional arts college but there's not a big enough theatreor dance studios.

We're going to do our first production as an arts college soon, TheWitches.

We don't even have blinds to cover the scenes, so when we're movingtables and chairs in between scenes it makes us look unprofessional.

I would also change homelessness. There are children on the street andthat just ain't right. In Newham there are only 10 beds for homelesschildren in the whole borough. I used to run away from home and ended upcurled up in a tunnel.

England looks so good to the outside world. But it's a very differentplace if you live in the third of the country that's poor.

So if I was the Queen, I could try and change that and live up to ourimage.
