This can be a lonely place.
In my role as acting chair of the Wales Youth Agency, I have had to deal with Welsh Assembly Government proposals to cease funding the agency at the end of this year. The minister's letter and a prospectus for moving forward in this way are matters for public record, as is the open discussion board on the Wales Youth Agency web site (www.wya.org.uk). The management board is awaiting the minister's decision before making a response. This has not been an easy time, not least because of the rather pathetic - and anonymous - personal attacks made on Welsh Assembly Government officials and myself by our erstwhile colleagues. It is all very well dismissing them but they hurt when they are directed at you personally.
