OPINION: Hot Issue - Are truancy sweeps the best way to tackleschool absence?

You can pick up students and drive them back to school all day, but that won't address the causes of truancy. These sweeps are a simplistic response to a far more complicated problem.

First, most of us have played truant, whether it be from school, college or work. So to put all "truants" under one label is unhelpful.
