Blaydon Youth Club, Tyne & Wear

I started playing football at the club when I was about 10. My dad managed one of the teams. Once I was old enough, I did my Football Association coaching badges and set up my own team for the under-sevens.

Football is not the only thing on offer. There is a disability group and kids can just have fun doing what they want. There are loads of activities, and pool and snooker tables.

As well as the main hall, where we play football, we have a games room with PCs, a cafeteria and sitting room. We also have four grass football pitches outside. If I could ask for anything, I'd like an astro-turf pitch.

Everyone has different things they like about the club, but my favourite is the sports hall. For others, it would be the staff that work here and probably the after-school group. It's a really great place with lots of friendly faces.
